Pet loss bereavement support group planned

Tri-Cities Chaplaincy and Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care are offering a pet loss grief support group on December 13th.

The group will operate from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pet Urgent Care, 3315 W Clearwater Ave., Kennewick.

Cara Hernandez, director of community care Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, will lead the open forum group, which will aim to “provide a supportive environment for participants to share their experiences and feelings related to pet loss,” a press release said. Hernandez will also offer tools and strategies for coping with grief.

“Losing a pet is a deeply emotional experience, and the holidays can intensify those feelings. Our goal is to create a safe space for people to share their grief and provide them with practical tools to navigate this difficult time. period,” he said.
