Himansh Kohli’s ‘Gahvara’ will be screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival

Mumbai (Maharashtra) (India), Dec 4 (ANI): Actor Himansh Kohli, known for his role in ‘Yarriyaan’, will soon be seen in the short film ‘Gahvara’, which is being screened at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival.
The official page of Happy Cow Films and the actor of the film made a joint post on Instagram. It read: “See our short film, ‘Gahvara’, at KIFF 2023 on December 8th and 12th. Don’t miss the screening – see you!”

Directed by Tariq Mohammad and produced by Neeru Kohli, ‘Gahvara’ has a heartwarming story with themes of loss, custom and self-improvement.
It follows the story of Farhan (25), who fulfills his grandmother’s last request and prepares a fresh funeral beer for her funeral. Although there are conflicts within the family about his need, Farhan’s mother is upset about the construction of the beer.
His obsession with his grandmother wears his girlfriend Nargis down, and their visit becomes tense. Tragic events occur when Farhan learns of his father’s unexpected death, which throws him into severe emotional turmoil and changes his outlook on life.
Sharing his thoughts on the role he played in the film, Himansh said, “Playing Farhan in Gahwara was an emotionally thrilling journey, delving into themes of loss, family and personal transformation. It’s a role that touched my soul and allowed me to explore the depth of human emotions.”
Director Tariq Mohammad said, “Gahvara intricately interweaves the complexities of family ties and the impact of sudden loss on an individual’s life. Himansh Kohli’s portrayal of Farhan brings depth to the character, making the film a poignant exploration of human emotions.”
‘Gahvara’ will be screened at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival on December 8 and 12.
