Independent veterinary group Harrison Family Vets is to open two new practices, in Sheffield and Wigan.
The practices will open early next year as part of a £700,000 investment program which will create at least 12 new jobs. The company is currently converting a former pub in Mosborough’s High Street, around eight miles from Sheffield city centre, into a state-of-the-art practice and has also started installing a new-build unit in the Wigan suburb of Tyldesley. As part of the expansion, the team is now hiring clinical managers, veterinarians, veterinary registered nurses and customer care coordinators at both practices.
Harrison Family Vets opened its first practice near Reading in Woodley in July 2021 and plans to open 50 practices by the end of the decade. As well as Reading, the group has opened practices in Didsbury near Manchester, Kingswinford near Dudley and more recently expanded to Stockton and Doncaster.
Business director Kristie Faulkner said: “We are very excited to start work on our two latest internships and are already receiving applications from potential team members. The whole ethos at Harrison Family Vets is about cultivating a culture within our team that sets us apart and differentiates our practice from all others.
“With pioneering practices and as an independent, family-owned group, our proposition really stands out. We strive to push the boundaries of pet care, customer service and employee well-being in an environment far removed from a traditional veterinary practice.”
