Business Santa Paws — Donations of new toys, treat bags, Bon Pet Supply gift cards, leashes, food bowls, blankets or towels are accepted to benefit All Breed Rescue and Training. Drop off donations 10am-5pm. Sunday 9am-6pm Monday-Thursday at Bon Pet Supply, 2326 N. Wahsatch Ave.; bonpetsupply.com.

Empty the Shelters – Holiday Hope — Hosted by the Bissell Pet Foundation with discounted adoptions from local shelters through December 17th. Go online for a list of participating shelters: bissellpetfoundation.org/ets.

YOU NEED HELP?

Harley’s Hope Foundation — Provides financial assistance for important veterinary care and behavior modification services, access to a list of Colorado pet care resources, and educational information about preventive pet care and safety: 719-495-6083, harleys-hopefoundation.org.

AVAILABLE

Adopt Shelter Pet license plates — $80 one-time fee for new or replacement plates in addition to other taxes and fees, $25 renewal fee. A portion of the funds benefit the Pet Overpopulation Fund. dmv.colorado.gov/group-special-license-plates.

Pet licensing — Offered by the Humane Society of the Pikes Region in partnership with DocuPet. Go online for billing: hsppr.org/law/license-your-pet.

Safe place for pets — Finding homes for terminally ill owners’ pets. For information about relocating pets or to find pets available for adoption, call 719-359-0201 or go to safeplacepets.org.

9 Lives Rescue — Foster homes are needed. Supplies and medical care provided. 719-591-4640; colorado9lives.com.

Breeding adoption service — Donations of money, food, dog collars and leashes accepted. breederadoptions.org.

Happy Cats Haven — Help with cleaning and adoption volunteers is needed, as well as donations of Costco gift cards, groceries and office supplies. Gently used cat gear acceptable. 719-362-4600, happycatshaven.org.
